Our checking accounts offer convenience and peace of mind for those who have more important things to think about....such as life! We offer four types of checking accounts and they include:
Overdraft Protection
Overdraft protection is offered to Members who forget to write in that one transaction then wind up with a negative balance.....almost. When you sign up for Overdraft Protection, you're covered! As long as you have a positive balance in the share(s) you specify as your back up, we will transfer only the amount needed for FREE!
Courtesy Pay
Courtesy Pay is another form of overdraft protection for your checking account. It adds a pre-approved $500 overdraft limit to your personal checking account. If you overdraw your account, we may pay each item up to your $500 limit. Your account will be assessed a Non-Sufficient or Courtesy Pay charge of $23.00 for each item we pay against an
overdrawn account.
Here is how it works; if you have established another overdraft protection method, such as automatic transfer from another share account, we will always look to pay any overdraft by those other methods first before paying your overdraft utilizing Courtesy Pay and imposing a $23.00 fee for each overdraft we pay. Additional benefits of Courtesy Pay are:
- You won't pay merchant returned check charges
- You won't pay collection agency fees for returned items
- You avoid the embarrassment of items returned for insufficient funds
- You have the added measure of safety protecting your good credit rating
